Timeline: Discoveries is a card game played with 110 cards. Each card shows a discovery on both sides, with the year in which that discovery took place shown on only one side. Players take turns placing a card from their hand in a row on the table. After placing the card, the player reveals the date on it. If the card is placed correctly, with the date in chronological order with all the other cards on the table, the card remains in place; otherwise, the card is removed from the game and the player draws another card from the deck.
The first player to get rid of all their cards by placing them correctly wins. If several players run out of cards in the same round, all others are eliminated from the game and each of these players receives one more card for a new round. If only one player has no cards left after a bonus round, they win; otherwise, the game continues until a single player runs out of cards.
